Copello are pleased to be partnered with a defence services company, recruiting for Technical Training and Development Instructor to join their team based in Shrewsbury.

The Technical Training and Development Instructor will be responsible for managing the training equipment streams of Surveillance, Communication and Navigation. In addition to training accountabilities, you will be responsible for the maintenance and availability of all training aids including full equipment assets, part task trainers, and simulators/emulators.

Role Requirements:

  • Producing and delivering technical training technical training activities to ensure new and existing legislation and policies are followed
  • Assisting the Senior Training Manager to formulate strategic plans to deliver compliant technical training packages
  • Ensuring all technical and non-technical changes to courseware are actioned
  • Ensuring the Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) is applied to all military training
  • Working closely with key stakeholders
  • Enabling Air Traffic Management Systems to deliver the requirements and goals of the Program to its customer

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Have a solid engineering background with practical knowledge and hands-on experience with Radar/Communication/Navigational equipment
  • Be an experienced training delivery instructor with a proven track record in engineering-based subjects, with a bias towards Air Traffic Management Systems
  • Have great communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a diverse range of groups
  • Be experienced in the practical application of training methods and media, including Computer Based Training (CBT), multimedia, simulation.
  • Have a willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
  • Be degree qualified or with equivalent experience.
