# Electrical Design Engineer T&D - HV Cabling Projects - Permanent - Salary Dependent on Experience - Various UK Locations

## What you need...
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, ideally chartered at the most senior levels
- 4/5 years+ experience in National Grid, substation, and general energy projects
- Experience in the design of transmission & distribution systems for utility companies based on international standards
- Ability to carry out interdisciplinary coordination and work effectively with leads to resolve design issues
- Hands-on experience with CYMCAP software and cable sizing calculations
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Office, and AutoCAD or MicroStation

## The Role...
As a HV Cabling Design Engineer, you will participate in all stages of cable system projects, from initial design to commissioning and handover. You will be responsible for cable calculations, routing plans, technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with other engineers and disciplines to integrate cable systems seamlessly into substations, wind farms, and other energy infrastructure projects.
