Your new role

Working with a growing team of hydrogeologists, water scientists and land professionals, you will assess the impacts of land development on water resources and water quality as well as the risks arising from environmental incidents and contaminated land. You will apply geological and hydrogeological skills to developing water supplies, assessing water balances and flooding issues, supporting planning and permitting processes.In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the project works from the preparation of desk-based studies, field monitoring, planning and supervising site investigation works to the preparation of reports including detailed quantitative risk assessment, conceptual hydrogeological models, and the implementation of remediation solutions.With a commitment to deliver work of the highest standard, an ambitious candidate will excel in this growing, dynamic, consultancy environment.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role you must hold a BSc in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field. An MSc in Hydrogeology is highly desirable.

  • Some experience in consultancy in the UK would be an advantage although high quality recent graduates with a keen interest and commercial understanding will also be considered.
  • The ability to deliver high quality work within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Field experience (or a willingness to learn) of different drilling techniques in a variety of geological settings, the collection of soil, groundwater and surface water monitoring data, and aquifer testing.
  • Experience of hydrogeology risk assessment and impact assessment
  • Desire to work towards chartership with a relevant institution such as the Geological Society
  • UK Driving licence
