Laura Clay joined Dyke Yaxley in 2015 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University. She qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant in December 2019 and was awarded the AB Snow Certificate of Achievement for being the highest placed Staffs/Shrops/Wolves student in Corporate Reporting (advanced level) for the July 2019 sitting - not bad! Not surprisingly we’re confident you could learn a thing or two from Laura that will help you in your career. She is now studying towards her Chartered Tax Advisor qualification and started her CTA exams in January 2021 taking the Owner Managed Business and IHT/Trusts and Estates route.
Hayley Price first joined Dyke Yaxley in 2008 for a one-year placement during her studies at the University of Wolverhampton. In 2013, Hayley achieved her ACA qualification and went on to qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor In 2016, advancing to the role of Client Manager. In January 2024, Hayley was appointed Director, overseeing a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies within the Agricultural Department. She manages their accounts, tax compliance, and offers strategic guidance tailored to their individual needs.
Hayley takes great pride in meeting with clients and helping them achieve their goals, finding immense satisfaction in the positive impact she has on their businesses. She also values the close-knit team at DY, whose support makes her work all the more rewarding.
Mark Griffiths joined Dyke Yaxley on a University work placement in 1991, returning in 1993 after graduating. He then went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with the firm. Mark was appointed as a Director in 2008 and specialises in working with agricultural businesses, land owners, charities and limited companies, overseeing statutory accounts, tax returns and tax planning assignments.
The Role:
As an Agriculture Client Portfolio Manager, you will:
- Have the privilege to manage a portfolio of Clients within the Agricultural Sector
- Provide tailored accounting, tax, and advisory services and support
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Review accounts, tax computations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients through strategic advice and insights.
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and professional development.
- Liaising with HMRC, auditors, and other third parties as required.
About You
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- Are a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
- Have an understanding of the agricultural sector and rural businesses.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have proven experience in managing client portfolios within an Accountancy Practice
- Are proactive, analytical, and capable of offering strategic advice.
- Are proficient with accounting software and technology.
