  • The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Shrewsbury, offering a salary of £80,000 - £90,000 per annum.
  • The role is hybrid, requiring approximately 3-4 days in the office per week, and part-time applicants (minimum 3 days) will also be considered.

Joining a dynamic family-owned business, as the No 1 in Finance, you will be strategically responsible for developing & overseeing the entire finance function, implementing policies & procedures, along with managing a small team. Also business partnering with the other departments & presenting to the board to drive business performance & growth.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering or construction is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Whole finance function, overseeing financial reporting & forecasting, AR, AP, compliance & cashflow
  • Supporting the MD in setting & delivering business strategy
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Preparing the budget, driving improved profitability
  • Liaise with external accountants for annual financial statements
  • Present monthly financial report to the Board
  • Financial analysis, performance analysis & variance analysis
  • Cashflow & liquidity, developing strategies to optimize
  • Stock-take
  • Financial risk evaluation
  • Manage team of 2
