Role responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing tax compliance and advisory work
  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Providing tax planning support to clients on areas such as group structuring, R&D, capital allowances and transactions
  • Liaising with HMRC and managing enquiries or investigations
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser
  • Supporting the training and development of junior members of the tax team
  • Contributing to business development and promoting the firm’s tax offering

Candidate requirements

  • Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of four years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and provide commercial tax advice
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members is advantageous
