B2 LICENSED ENGINEER - UP TO £70 PER HOUR INSIDE IR35 - SHAWBURY - 12 MONTHS (EXTENDABLE) - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW ONSITE

MERITUS are recruiting for B2 Licensed Engineers to join our client in Shawbury on an initial 12 month contract to work on exciting aerospace programmes.

You will join the team who are responsible for the certification of line, non-routine maintenance and repair on Aircrafts.

Standard 40 hours per week (working 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Accomplishment of maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Work as a team leader and to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Completion of maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems.
  • Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability.
  • Supervision of avionic and electrical fitters and the certification of their work.
  • Conduct off-aircraft avionic and electrical technical work in Av workshop as required.
  • Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

Skillset/experience required:

  • CAA Part 66 B2 Licence.
  • 3 years experience in a certification role.
  • Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of helicopter avionic and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to avionic and electrical systems.
  • Must have up to date knowledge of :
  • CAA regulations, particularly Pt 145, Part M Continued Airworthiness Management (CAM)
  • Flight/Airport Operations
  • Aircraft Line Maintenance

Desirable

  • Type Rating and experience H135, H145.
  • Experience of Military Aviation.
  • Experience with SAP and ERP software.
