With multiple sites across the UK, this role promises career development and progression opportunities in an amazing sector.This position will be covering the Shropshire area across various different quarries.As a Trainee Shotfirer, your primary role will involve the following responsibilities:
  • Supporting the deliverance of high-quality blast specifications in collaboration with the Explosive Supervisor
  • Ensuring rigorous implementation of the company’s robust health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Reporting all near misses and accidents in accordance with company procedures
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers on the designated quarry sites
  • Collaborating as part of the onsite services team to prepare blasts in line with client requirements and safety regulations
As a Trainee Shotfirer, you need:
  • To be willing and able to work in all conditions outdoors - this is essential
  • A valid driving license
  • Experience as a machine Shotfirer - this would be ideal, though not essential
