About the role:

As a Secondary Supply English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic English lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Your role will involve covering planned lessons, ensuring that students remain motivated and focused while maintaining ambitious standards of learning. Whether it is working on long-term assignments or providing cover for short-term absences, this is a flexible role with opportunities to have influence in the lives of students.


Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum.

Adapt teaching methods to suit a range of abilities and learning styles.

Ensure students' progress is monitored and supported during lessons.

Provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive classroom environment.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure smooth operation.

Implement school policies and uphold ambitious standards of behaviour.


What We Are Looking For:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.

A strong understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.

A passion for inspiring and motivating students.

A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
