Excell Supply is a leading provider of supply teaching staff across the UK, and we're currently seeking dedicated Supply Humanities Teachers to work in secondary schools in the Shrewsbury area. If you have a passion for teaching and a strong background in Humanities (History, Geography, RE, or Social Sciences), we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in Humanities subjects (History, Geography, Religious Education, and other related topics)
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Adapting lesson plans to suit the needs of different year groups and abilities
Supporting students academic development and personal growth
Providing feedback to students on their work and progress
Following school policies and adhering to safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in one or more of the Humanities disciplines
Previous experience teaching Humanities at secondary school level (preferred but not essential)
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A passion for inspiring and motivating young people
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
