SALARY: £38,238 - £40,426 per annum + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid Working (2 Days Working from Home and 3 Days from the office in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, West Midlands a short walk from Shrewsbury Town Centre)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week. 8:45am 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am 4pm Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Data Analyst and IT Engineer / Software Applications Support Developerwho has a broad IT background covering data analysis, IT technical support and software / website development (C#, HTML, JavaScript, SQL).

This is an interesting role that covers various key technical areas within the business. Candidates will need a solid Data Analysis background and also be keen to work in Technical Support and Application Development. The official title for this role is: Data Analyst and Applications Support

DATA ANALYSIS

Working as the Data Analyst and IT Engineer / Software Applications Support Developer you will need the ability to manipulate large volumes of data and present complex data sets into a standardised clear format. You will need experience using Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of Power BI / SSRS.

IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT

As the Data Analyst and IT Engineer / Software Applications Support Developer you will also support the organisation by providing general IT Technical Support covering system upgrades, troubleshooting laptops and PCs, operating systems, installing software applications whilst maintaining a high standard to ICT technical skills and knowledge across a wide range of ICT related subjects. Working knowledge of Virtual Server Infrastructures and hosting including servers, storage, networking (WAN/LAN), Firewall Management, Desktop Support is highly desirable.

APPLICATION AND WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

As the Data Analyst and IT Engineer / Software Applications Support Developer this role will also involve supporting, designing, developing and maintaining bespoke software applications, websites and databases. You will work on projects from start to finish following the SDLC / Software Development Lifecycle and follow best practices. Previous experience using C#, HTML, JavaScript and SQL is highly desirable.

As a successful candidate you will have a strong background analysing data to produce user-friendly reports from an in-house application. Previous IT technical support and application development would be highly desirable. You will also need strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages, which is essential.
