Job purpose

To develop mechanical expertise in the building, modification and testing of relevant company products to company and customer specifications.

To work within the time planning requirement of customer contracts and internal processes.

To support customer satisfaction and sales through repair of equipment on site, at customer site or other

To provide service and operation best practise advice to customers To Carry out refurbishment of used machines for optimum availability for sale.

Main tasks

To carry out the mechanical & electrical building, modification and repair of company products to customer exact specifications

To carry out fault diagnoses on all company products, engines (both diesel and petrol) and related components

To dismantle all types of products, engines and components, clean and prepare to the required standard ready for rebuilding.

To replace all relevant parts as appropriate to ensure products are professionally repaired and put back into running order

To ensure that all machine settings are correct and relevant testing is completed before machines are dispatched.

To liaise with customers to support the service, warranty claim, repair and refurbishment of the companys equipment, doing so with clarity and professionalism either face to face, over the phone, by email or other communication methods.

To carry out service and breakdown calls at customer locations on all company products when required.

To ensure that all documentation (Production PDI, Engineer Service Reports) relevant to the build/repair/service is completed on time.

To ensure that environmental best practise is always followed and that spill kits on site and in the service, vehicles are kept stocked.

To assist with the delivery and collection of customers equipment.

To advise management on all aspects of mechanical/electrical engineering requirements.

To ensure required standards of housekeeping and tidiness are achieved and always maintained.

To attend training courses as and when required.

Communicate with the Internal Supervision on a regular basis, the results, activity, progress and issues with suggested counter measures.

General tasks

Contribute to the daily management of the department to support the growth of the company.

To assist with establishing and maintaining the highest quality levels for Production and Service activities, reporting results and associated data.

Maintain good working relations within the company and relevant outside organizations.

To interact with and support our customers in a polite and professional manner.

To be confidential and trustworthy

Ensure Health and Safety practices are followed as it applies to the Companys operations.

To assist with responsibility for the security of your area.

To ensure the correct use and maintenance of all plant, buildings and equipment within your area.

To develop an attitude of continuous improvement and co-operation in the department.

To take on other reasonable tasks as and when requested by the Production Management and Company Directors.
