About the Role:My client is excited to introduce a new opportunity for a Inventory Accountant, designed to be a vital link between our Sales, Operations, and Finance teams. As a Inventory Accountant, you'll be responsible for conducting stock checks, managing control systems for demo and hire machines, reporting on stock levels, and overseeing funder audits.

This role requires someone who can work independently, is self-motivated, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. You'll also need solid business partnering abilities to collaborate effectively with operational teams, as their support will be key to your success.

This position involves travel across all 9 group companies. Located in Shrewsbury, Newport, Welshpool, Sudbury(Uttoxeter), Middlewich, Ormskirk, Denbigh, Knighton (Wales), South Petherton (Somerset)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular reviews of items ordered versus physical inventory (machinery)
  • Perform periodic stock checks of parts across all group depots/companies
  • Establish and maintain a system to track demo/hire machines and associated documents
  • Lead and manage stock-related funder audits
  • Provide regular stock level reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Own the stock control process during statutory audits
  • Manage stocking and HP funding procedures
  • Assist with month-end and year-end tasks
  • Handle various ad hoc duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing workloads
  • Works well under pressure
  • Comfortable with travelling between multiple sites
  • AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification is a minimum requirement
