Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000

A Fantastic opportunity has become available as an assistant maintenance engineer and would suit any aspiring Maintenance Engineer. The role will be working for a leading FMCG manufacturing business and will be based at their state of the art plant in Shrewsbury. The Assistant Maintenance Engineer will be an integral part of a team of engineers, providing essential support to the night shift operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the maintenance of critical equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

Skills Required for Assistant Maintenance Engineer:

Some experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
Understanding of mechanical or electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications, such as an NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
Flexibility to work night shifts and respond to urgent maintenance needs as they arise.
