Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility by performing both reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of equipment. Working on a Panama shift pattern, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports a 24/7 operation in a fast-moving and high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive maintenance to address breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery runs efficiently and reliably.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related faults.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to enhance equipment performance and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure seamless operation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an FMCG, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work Panama shifts, covering days and nights.
  • Team Player: Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.
