As the Deputy Production Manager, you'll help manage the production process. Your job will also include making sure the production meets quality standards, food safety rules, and workplace safety. You'll work closely with the Production Manager and Factory Director, updating them on progress and solving problems as they come up in a fast-paced environment.

Working Monday to Friday with the possibility of overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Assist in creating and managing production schedules.
  • Identify and fix workflow issues.
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained.
  • Lead the production team and ensure communication.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate resources.
  • Train staff and ensure safety standards.
  • Manage labour, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Control costs by minimizing waste and optimizing hours.
  • Track performance and adjust as needed.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Follow food safety guidelines (HACCP, GMP).
  • Support new product launches.
  • Enforce safety regulations and conduct training.
  • Investigate incidents and prevent future accidents.
  • Promote a safety-conscious work culture.
  • Monitor and improve production performance.
  • Suggest process changes to improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on production technologies.
  • Ensure timely deliveries and smooth logistics.
  • Resolve production issues affecting customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Food Manufacturing Experience: At least 2 years in chilled/frozen food environments.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification or equivalent essential.
  • IOSH certification for health and safety management essential.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams to meet performance targets.
  • Skilled at identifying and fixing production bottlenecks.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and safety regulations.
  • Experience in production planning and performance analysis.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, effective under pressure.
  • Fluent in Mandarin, preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in Production Management (preferred).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • GCSE in Maths and English is essential, (Degree or relevant qualification in Production Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred). Equivalent experience will also be considered.
