Aspire People are recruiting a School Office Manager in Shrewsbury Hours - Monday to Friday Start Date - ASAP Location - Shrewsbury Salary - £14-£16 per hour Aspire People are currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Office Manager to lead a busy school office and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our administrative functions.Key Responsibilities:* Manage the daily operations of the school office, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors.* Oversee all administrative tasks, including attendance records, admissions, correspondence, and student records.* Supervise and support the office administrative team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met.* Manage the school's financial administration, including budgets, invoicing, payroll, and procurement processes.* Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.* Act as the first point of contact for parents and external agencies, addressing queries and concerns professionally.* Support the Headteacher and senior leadership team with administrative tasks, including diary management and minute-taking.* Coordinate the organization of school events, meetings, and parent evenings.* Ensure all school policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to, particularly in relation to health and safety, safeguarding, and GDPR.Requirements:* Proven experience in office management, preferably within a school or educational setting.* Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.* Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with school management systems (e.g., SIMS) is highly desirable.* Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and payroll, is advantageous.* A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a commitment to supporting the school community.* An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school environment.If you are an experienced and dynamic Office Manager based in Shrewsbury looking for a rewarding role in a vibrant school community, we would love to hear from you, apply now.
