- Oversee the firm’s AML and client due diligence (CDD) processes to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Take ownership of the onboarding process, ensuring all new client procedures meet compliance standards.
- Manage the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of the firm’s accreditations, including Lexcel and CQS.
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to teams across the firm, ensuring compliance awareness at all levels.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Proactively monitor risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- A strong background in compliance or risk management, ideally within the legal sector.
- In-depth knowledge of AML, CDD, and regulatory frameworks relevant to law firms.
- Familiarity with managing Lexcel, CQS, or similar accreditations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to risk and compliance challenges.
- Experience in training and guiding teams on compliance best practices.
