- Providing direct support to children, young people and families – at home, in school, or within the community.
- Working with children on the edge of care to help prevent unnecessary entry into the care system.
- Supporting safe and sustainable reunification with families or transitions into independent living.
- Using a range of tools, including therapeutic approaches, restorative practice, and parenting programmes.
- Supporting young people to engage in education, training, or employment.
- Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings, including health and education reviews.
- Keeping accurate records of all interventions and progress.
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Skilled in engaging with families from diverse backgrounds
- Organised, with the ability to manage a busy caseload
- Willing to work flexibly, including occasional on-call support or backup to residential services when needed
