Social Worker, £33.30ph, Duty Team, ShropshirePertemps are recruiting for experienced Social Workers to join a dynamic and fast-paced Duty Team in Shropshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive environment, undertaking diverse and meaningful responsibilities that make a real difference to children and families.Role Details:

Rate: Up to £33.30 per hour
Duty Schedule: Duty week every other week (office-based); non-duty weeks allow for flexible diary management, including remote working.
Location: Guildhall, Shrewsbury, SY3 8HQ

Main Responsibilities:

Complete social work assessments, including:
- Section 47 (S47) investigations
- Section 7 (S7) and Section 37 (S37) reports
Participate in duty weeks, managing urgent cases and initial court work as required.
Attend and contribute to:
- Initial Child Protection Case Conferences (ICPCC)
- Core group meetings
- Initial Child in Need (CIN) meetings
Conduct direct work with children, capturing their wishes and feelings to inform assessments and planning.
Maintain accurate and timely records on case management systems.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and support children effectively.

Requirements:

Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
Registration with Social Work England
Proven experience in children’s social work, including child protection and court work.
Strong knowledge of legislation and policies related to child safeguarding.
