Manufacturing Software Engineer
Location: ShrewsburyContract: 12 months Hourly Rate: £30 per hour UmbrellaStart Date: ASAPWorking Hours: 37.5 hours per week (4 days at 8 ¼ hours, 1 day at 4 hours)Flexible/Remote Work: Ideally, onsite; however, flexible working can be discussed. 5 days a week
ARM is assisting a Shrewsbury-based manufacturing client in their search for a skilled Manufacturing Data Engineer. This role is crucial in modernizing operations by implementing a new MRP system and integrating Power BI reporting. You will collaborate closely with the integration team on this standalone project, transitioning the company from a manual, spreadsheet-dependent approach to a streamlined digital workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, modify, develop, and implement software applications for the target system using agile methodologies.
- Gather client requirements and optimize workflows through automation.
- Develop new application code and enhance existing code samples.
- Utilize automated testing tools for software testing and maintenance.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with Power BI, EAP, QAD, or MRP systems.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with systems and software.
