The role is currently for Mondays and Tuesdays, with the potential for additional hours. The successful candidate will provide essential support and supervision, focusing on the learning and holistic development of individuals or small groups of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Offer tailored support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Supervise and assist individual students or small groups in their learning activities.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and development of students under your care.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies for supporting students’ learning.
  • Maintain a discreet presence in the classroom, being sensitive to the needs and feelings of students.
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence in students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent, or the willingness to undertake them.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
