Method Engineer

Location: Bridgwater

Pay Rate:PAYE or Umbrella 750-800 per day

Contract: Long-term opportunity on a major infrastructure project

Clearance: Would need to be eligable for SC

Carbon60 are recruiting for a Method Engineer to join a major engineering and maintenance provider, delivering on one of the UK's most high-profile nuclear projects. This role offers the chance to be part of a large, technically complex site team, helping drive construction excellence from planning through to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret design-released drawings and models using Navisworks.
  • Raise RFIs/FCRs to resolve technical queries, inconsistencies, or missing information.
  • Support Area Leads in preparing temporary works design briefs and liaise with all relevant parties to ensure constructability.
  • Develop and maintain Material Trackers and construction forecasts in alignment with programme timelines.
  • Create and update document trackers to support construction readiness, covering client, designer, and internal documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of Technical Risk Assessments, identifying risks and helping define mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of construction planning, temporary works, and site-based engineering delivery.
  • Proficient in Navisworks and familiar with reading and interpreting complex models and drawings.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across engineering and construction teams.
  • Valid CCNSG safety passport is essential.
