Are you an experienced Mechanical Specialist with a strong background in project management? Ready to work on one of the UK's most significant energy projects? We’re looking for a skilled professional to lead and deliver a 6-month contract at Hinkley Point in collaboration with the main client team, based in thier new state-of-the-art HQ building.

As the Mechanical Specialist / Project Manager, you will oversee and manage critical mechanical works for this high-profile project, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. You’ll work with the main client on thier coordination, budgets, safety standards, and liaise closely with stakeholders to maintain project momentum. This is a hands-on role, balancing technical and managerial tasks to support seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of mechanical works on-site.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to maintain project timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure safety and quality compliance are met at all times.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and schedules for optimal efficiency.
  • Provide strategic input and problem-solving for project progression.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering and project management.
  • Prior work on large-scale infrastructure projects (nuclear or energy experience beneficial).
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
