Job Description:

NRL are working with one of our leading clients on Hinkley Point C to finda highly organized and proactive individual to joina team as a Department Assistant, providing vital support to the Contracts, Commercial, and Construction department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of departmental activities, handling administrative tasks efficiently, and assisting in various aspects of contracts, commercial, and construction-related projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support:
    • Manage departmental correspondence, including emails, letters, and memos.
    • Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems for contracts, commercial agreements, and construction-related documents.
    • Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference calls, and coordinate departmental calendars.
    • Prepare presentation materials, reports, and documentation for meetings and presentations.
  2. Project Assistance:
    • Provide administrative support to managers, including document control and communication with subcontractors.
    • Assist in the preparation of project reports.
    • Coordinate logistics for construction projects, including scheduling deliveries and arranging site visits.
  3. Data Management and Analysis:
    • Compile and analyze data related to contracts, commercial agreements, and construction projects.
    • Generate regular reports and summaries to track project progress, expenditures, and performance metrics.
    • Identify trends and insights to support decision-making and improve departmental efficiency.
  4. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Serve as a liaison between the Contracts, Commercial, and Construction department and other internal departments.
    • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes, improve workflows, and achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a contracts, commercial, or construction environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with contract management software or databases.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and construction project management principles is desirable.
This role is based fully from the office and is not availble for hybrid or work from home models.
