We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on behalf of Network Rail as part of the CP7 framework. The office is based in Sidcup, but this role offers flexible working, allowing the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor to work remotely for up to three days per week.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with expertise in Network Rail projects to oversee financial and contractual aspects of CP7 works. The position is initially freelance, with the option to transition to a permanent role at the end of the temporary period. Previous experience with Network Rail contracts and CP works is highly desirable, making this role ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong rail background.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Managing costs and budgets across Network Rail projects under CP7
  • Administering NWR contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  • Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions
  • Preparing and negotiating final accounts
  • Conducting site visits and producing regular financial reports
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior team members as required

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on Network Rail projects
  • Strong understanding of NWR contracts, with CP works experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining strong collaboration with the team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Interest in transitioning to a permanent position after the freelance period
