Our client, based in Sidcup, is looking for a part time welfare reform officer to join their team, to provide strategic and operational support to the Revenue Department in keeping up to date with all Welfare Reform changes, providing regular training to customer facing roles and including the development and delivery of projects and initiatives as part of a coordinated approach.

Key Duties

  • Monitor and evaluate rent accounts affected by Welfare Reform to ensure that best practise is adhered to and to identify any area’s for improvement and making suggestions for these.
  • To schedule, organise and deliver training across the Revenue department and other customer facing roles to share knowledge and ensure our customers receive a fair and consistent service in line with Welfare Reform changes.
  • To carry out internal projects, collating data from a variety of sources and providing statistics to support necessary projects that will include proactively ensuring residents are aware of the changes and how they may be affected, assessing their specific support needs and ensuring these are met by signposting and/or make direct referrals to specialist internal/external agencies for assistance with financial inclusion related to Welfare Reform.
  • Proactively research Welfare Reform changes, forecast predicted effects and implement strategies to mitigate impact on revenue streams and customer welfare.
