A Cabinet Assembler & Bench Joiner is required to join a long-established and reputable bespoke kitchen and furniture manufacturer based in Sidcup, Kent.

This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to work with a business renowned for its handcrafted, high-quality fitted kitchens and custom-made furniture, including freestanding pieces for bedrooms, studies and other interiors. The work involves a combination of solid timber, veneer, and painted finishes, using premium fittings such as drawer systems, interior solutions and hinge mechanisms.

Applicants with previous experience in furniture or cabinet assembly are encouraged to apply. The company is also open to trainee placements for individuals with the right aptitude and relevant study background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble high-quality bespoke kitchen and furniture components in a workshop environment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings accurately
  • Use a wide range of carpentry hand tools and workshop machinery safely and competently
  • Work to high standards of finish with strong attention to detail
  • Ensure punctuality, reliability and a professional attitude at all times
  • Work independently or collaboratively as needed within the production team
  • Occasionally attend customer sites if required (a full UK driving licence is an advantage)

Desirable Experience:

  • Proven experience in cabinet or furniture assembly
  • Background in bench joinery or carpentry
  • Knowledge of furniture construction methods and quality standards
  • Experience with technical components used in kitchen and furniture manufacture

Trainee Applicants:

Trainee candidates may also be considered, particularly those who can demonstrate hands-on experience, relevant training or strong interest in woodworking and cabinetmaking. Full training and support will be provided for the right individual.
