LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Location: Silsoe
Reporting to: Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a talented Landscape Architect to join a dynamic team based in Silsoe. This role involves working on diverse landscape projects, including residential, commercial, and public realm developments, with a focus on sustainable and innovative design solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Develop creative and practical landscape designs that meet client and project requirements.

  • Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, masterplans, and planting schemes.

  • Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers, and other professionals.

  • Ensure compliance with planning policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

  • Work on a range of projects from concept design through to construction and completion.

  • Provide input on material selection, sustainability considerations, and biodiversity strategies.

  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities, presenting proposals effectively.

  • Use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools.

  • Manage projects within time and budget constraints while maintaining high design standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Master’s in Landscape Architecture or related field.

  • Chartered Membership or working towards Chartered status with the Landscape Institute (LI).

  • Strong design, presentation, and technical skills.

  • Experience with relevant software, including CAD and visualisation tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Passion for sustainable and environmentally responsible design.

  • A valid UK driving licence is preferred.
