Quality Engineer

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of parts prior to vehicle build and pre-delivery to customers. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, utilizing hand and bench top inspection equipment, and performing complex and routine inspection operations with 3D scanning and probing tools (Creaform). Your experience in motorsport, niche vehicle, or low production environments will be highly valuable. You will also support Quality Engineers with non-conformance administration and root cause investigations, ensuring the implementation of engineering business function procedures as required.

Core Competencies and Experience

Applicants will preferably have:

  • Experience interpreting technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using hand and bench top inspection equipment.
  • Experience with 3D scanning and probing (Creaform) for complex and routine inspection operations.
  • Experience in motorsport, niche vehicle, or low production environments.
  • Experience working with carbon composites would be a distinct advantage
  • Familiarity with engineering business function procedures and the ability to implement them as business and project requirements develop.
  • Responsibility for the quality of parts prior to vehicle build and pre-delivery to customers via a defined Quality Tier system.
  • Ability to establish and develop close working relationships with Quality Engineers and build functions to meet quality and time constraints.
  • Administration of non-conformance and support for Quality Engineers with root cause investigations.
  • Capability to record detailed data via ERP and build/component documentation.
