We are seeking a Management Accountant with construction experience for a long-term, ongoing temporary assignment, with the potential to become permanent. This role is ideal for someone who is available to start at very short notice and is looking for an opportunity to leverage their expertise in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external purposes.
- Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budget.
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop business plans for the company.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably within the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and practice.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) is preferred.
