About Us: Our school is specialist independent schools catering to students aged 11 to 19 who face significant barriers to learning or cannot access mainstream education. Many of our students are referred by Local Authorities and have an Educational Health and Care Plan. Some students are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream schools, while others have already been excluded.

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Outdoor Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor education and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of outdoor activities that promote personal development, teamwork, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging outdoor education sessions tailored to the needs of our students.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage students to develop confidence, self-esteem, and social skills through outdoor activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate outdoor education into the broader curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in outdoor education or a related field.
