About the Role:

As an NPD Executive, you will be at the forefront of product innovation, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life. This role involves managing New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects from concept to launch. You will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet high-quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch.
  • Generate new product ideas and opportunities for both internally and externally manufactured products.
  • Work closely with the factory, technical teams, and purchasing department to source new raw materials and ensure feasibility.
  • Conduct presentations and product evaluations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and conduct factory production trials to refine product development.
  • Ensure compliance with BRCGS Food Safety Standards and multiple retailer requirements.
  • Oversee the development of HACCP plans for new and existing products.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights.
  • Support promotional activities, including photography, exhibitions, and recipe development.
  • Perform testing and analysis to continuously improve product quality and performance.
  • Work collaboratively with sales teams to incorporate customer feedback into future innovations.

About You:

Requirements:

  • Degree in a food-related subject.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food product development role.
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standards and multiple retailer requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing HACCP plans and factory trials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A passion for food innovation and continuous improvement.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Sittingbourne, Kent (must be able to reliably commute).
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (some flexibility required for trials and tastings).
  • Work Mode: On-site.
