If you love customer service, key account support and sales administration this could be the perfect opportunity for you. My Sittingbourne based client is looking for someone who can support their designated Key Account Manager by combining their excellent administrative and customer service skills. The role involves all elements of customer support and covers a wide variety of tasks. You will be instrumental in developing good relationships with our B2B customer base, ensuring orders and any queries or issues are dealt with efficiently and within SLA timeframes.
The role will involve
- Collaborating across various functions to handle first-line customer service enquiries and perform sales administration tasks for Customer Care, Key Account Support, and the Nationals account base. You should be confident working within each area but really "own" your base and support your Key Account Manager.
- Meeting and achieving targets and SLAs while managing your daily workload to ensure these metrics are met.
- Using company databases proactively on a daily basis to contribute to departmental goals, including order management systems, CRM, and national accounts company portals.
- Working with all internal departments to resolve customer queries and complaints.
- Supporting Key Account Managers by ensuring orders across their base are sent out on time and in full. Identifying anything that needs correction and take appropriate action.
- Providing feedback to management for continuous customer improvement.
The "buddy" function of the role will involve supporting our sales team.
- Serving as the office-based admin support for a designated Key Account manager, acting as their "companion" to support and assist in meeting and achieving targets.
- Enter sales orders into the system and rectify orders when necessary.
- Proactively works on Power BI daily to adjust order dates and process orders, contributing to the department's goal of timely order fulfilment and output.
- Keep line manager and Key Account Manager informed about any issues or potential escalations.
- Liaise with customers via email and phone offering a premium service aligned with departmental SLAs.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an administrative/sales support role, preferably within a similar B2B/B2R industry.
- Enthusiastic about assisting customers and collaborating with your Key Account Manager to drive overall departmental output.
- Outstanding customer service skills, always willing to go the extra mile.
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and takes initiative.
- Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail, especially when processing orders.
- Excel and CRM system experience highly desirable.
Fully office based, working 8-5 Monday - Friday with a 4pm finish on Fridays
