We are recruiting for a leading waste management company committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the community. They are currently seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join a team of Refuse Loaders.

Job Description:
As a Refuse Loader, you will play a crucial role in the collection and disposal of waste and recyclables, ensuring that the service is performed efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to work with a team to collect refuse from designated areas and load it onto the collection vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently collect refuse and recyclables from residential and commercial properties.
- Load refuse onto garbage trucks in a timely and safe manner.
- Operate loading equipment correctly and safely.
- Actively participate in keeping the work area clean and hazard-free.
- Follow instructions and schedules provided by route supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies including health and safety guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods, including lifting and carrying heavy loads.

  • A current DBS or be willing to apply prior to starting role
    - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
    - Dependability and a strong work ethic.
    - Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines.
    - Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to waste management.
    - Flexibility to work variable shifts, including early mornings and occasional weekends.


Some of the shift times can be from 2am starts, therefore own transport will be essential due to the location of the site.

Shifts are usually 8 hours per day, running between Monday to Friday.

Suitable applicants will need to be available on Thursday 6th March to attend an induction day.
