The Role:

As the Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while promoting sustainable practices within the business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about environmental and sustainability initiatives who enjoys working across teams to implement meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate external and internal audits related to environmental and sustainability practices
  • Maintain up-to-date figures for external reporting (WRAP, Sedex, BRC, Manufacture 2030)
  • Keep COSHH records and assessments updated
  • Develop and manage the Company Business Continuity Plan
  • Identify and improve environmental and sustainability processes across the business
  • Oversee and manage company waste management procedures
  • Develop and implement environmental and sustainability policies and risk assessments
  • Provide compliance reports for both internal use and external bodies
  • Stay up to date with legislation and regulatory changes
  • Support or chair Environmental and Sustainability committee meetings

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in Health & Safety management
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Environmental and Sustainable Management
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement in environmental practices
  • Solution-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Confident in delivering presentations and reports to stakeholders
  • Minimum GCSE grades A-C in Mathematics and English (or equivalent)
  • NEBOSH Environmental Management qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and face-to-face

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday | 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • 1-hour unpaid lunch break
  • No weekend work!

Location & Commute:

This role is based fully onsite at our client’s facility in Sittingbourne, Kent. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
