Are you passionate about supporting students and improving school attendance? Academics are currently working with a fantastic Secondary school who are seeking an Attendance Officer to join a friendly and dedicated team in Sittingbourne, starting immediately.

Your Role: As the School Attendance Officer, you'll play a vital role in promoting regular attendance and punctuality among students. You'll work closely with pupils, parents, and staff to track attendance, follow up on absences, and help create a supportive environment that encourages full engagement in learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality recordsContacting parents/carers regarding unexplained absencesLiaising with staff and external agencies to support studentsProducing reports and maintaining accurate attendance dataSupporting school initiatives to improve overall attendance rates

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in a school or administrative settingStrong communication and organisational skillsA proactive and compassionate approachKnowledge of attendance systems (SIMS or similar) is essentialEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
