Our Client is a leading packer of Fresh Produce to a wide portfolio of retail customers. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Customs Manager on their behalf to join the business in this key position.

This Customs Manager role will take responsibility for the overall Customs Handling and HMRC Clearance of Deep-Sea Containers & Road Freight, together with management of Container transportation and POs data management in the internal MRP system.

Key Responsibilities include;

Completion of Customs declarations and processes, to HMRC regulations

Working with colleagues to ensure warehousing is customs compliant

Support the business in all export/import related matters

Management of existing and new operational processes

Ensure disruption of product flow is kept to a minimum

Accurate documentation and declaration management

We require;

An excellent understanding of HMRC regulations for international Exports, Imports and Transit

Proven track record and experience in International Operations; EU & 3rd Countries

A confident, capable, and experienced Customs Manager

Fresh Produce / Food / FMCG exposure highly beneficial

Knowledge of Customs Compliance and certificates required for UK entry

In depth knowledge and experience in Customs and Excise regulations

Experience in managing customs warehousing policies and procedures

Location; South East England / Kent

Hours; Monday - Friday

Salary; c34,500
