Are you an experienced and licensed FLT Operator? Are you based in or around Kemsley Mill?

We are currently looking for a FLT Operator role available at Kemsley Mill for our client DS Smith. This role is ideal for someone with a valid FLT licence and experience with Forklift for Counterbalance in the previous roles.

Role: FLT OperatorLocation: DS Smith Packaging, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TDRate: £16 per hourContract length: 3 months initial contract with possibility of extensionShift Patterns: 60 Hours per week,shift rotation: X1 week of day shifts, X1 week of night shifts and then X1 week off

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials and finished goods to various warehouse areas.
  • Follow all plant and safety standards including wearing proper PPE.
  • Loading and unloading of trailers.
  • Careful handling of finished goods.
  • Managing shipping and receiving work
  • Read and interpret the Vendor Bill of Lading.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Management.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience with valid Counterbalance and in a Warehouse/Manufacturing environment
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Ability to work to the shift pattern at all times
  • Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work as a Teamplayer as well as on own initiative
