NDT Technician

Salary: Circa £45,000 £50,000 dependent on skills and experience

MUST be based within 1 hour of either Doncaster or Sittingbourne. Most works are in UK Midlands or North - Southern based applicants must be willing to travel regularly

Full time & overtime available weekends/evenings paid time and half

The ideal candidate will have MPI/DPI/VT/UT/PAUT ECITB Safety Passport, & CSCS Card.

Our client is a leading provider of non-destructive testing services, they are looking for a skilled NDT Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting MPI, DPI, UT & PAUT inspections at designated sites across the UK.

They are looking for a candidate who is flexible and willing to work at any location in the UK as business needs demand. The ideal candidate will be willing to undergo additional training and certifications as required.

What will you be doing:

  • Conducting MPI, DPI, UT, and PAUT inspections at various sites across the UK.
  • Working to various international standards.
  • Carrying out equipment checks and calibrations.
  • Compiling and maintaining detailed inspection reports.
  • Engaging in ongoing training.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Prioritise health and safety, ensuring all inspections are conducted safely and responsibly.

To join the team you will need:

  • PCN Level 2 in MPI, DPI, VT and UT (PAUT preferred).
  • Proven background in non-destructive testing, particularly with magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, and ultrasonic testing.
  • Strong communication, IT & report writing abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work is essential, and keen at problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel and work at various sites, with early starts when needed.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and a quick learner who is eager to take on challenges.
