We are currently looking for a Yard/ Order Picker Operative for our client in Sittingbourne to start asap . The shift will be Mon-Fri 1400-2200. The role is working as part of a 2 person team - You will be required to check stock using bar code reader, pick orders from paper pick list and also to do labelling of products (accuracy for all these tasks is very important). There will be a lot of manual handling helping with vehicle loading when required some of which will be heavy. There may be a requirement to learn to use a forklift (subject to certified training) as well as helping with forklift maintenance checking oil/water levels etc. In this role & you will also be walking upto several miles per day.
The shift is:
- Fixed Shift 1400-2200 shift Monday to Friday, paying £11.75 per hour
- After 12 weeks the pay increases to £13.20 per hour
(The above rates will change from the start of April 2025 - Awaiting new rates TBC).
The role will start immediately subject to being succesfully chosen by my client and will be long term ongoing work - temp-perm (reviewed weekly)
You must have Safety boots and a Hi Vis vest.
Own transport is preferred due to the location of the site.
