My design and manufacturing client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join their growing team.

This full time HR Advisor role will be part of the Group HR Team.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Group Head of HR, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering HR to the business site in Sittingbourne of approx. 130 employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide the business strategic and operational HR support & leadership
  • Managing employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Monitor probation deadlines, ensuring managers are following the probation policy and providing support/advice where needed, complete probation confirmation/extension letters
  • Advising and assisting management with performance management and capability
  • Facilitating and advising on all sickness absence and other absence including all statutory absences
  • Administration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination, maintaining employee files on the HRIS system in line with compliance laws.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law.
  • Providing all payroll related information
  • Managing the whole employee lifecycle including offboarding
  • Providing and analysis of HR related statistics/HR Dashboard
  • Taking oversight of the company’s culture and lead change management processes.
  • Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Assist in managing the implementation of specific HR projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Leading the recruitment process, including writing job descriptions, and preparing interview questions, arranging, and conducting interviews.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills required

  • CIPD Qualified would be advantageous or proven experience
  • Experience working in fast paced environment within manufacturing or warehousing
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Building relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Identify areas of improvement and streamlining processes

  • Trust - As a key member of the HR team, you will interface with various stakeholders on a regular basis. You will become a trusted confidante with a positive, flexible and adaptable approach.
