IT Key Account Manager

Key Account Manager - IT Managed Services

Location: Kent (Remote & Office-Based, covering predominantly South-East & London)

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE + Uncapped Commission (OTE £140k) + Benefits

My client is a leading IT solutions provider specializing in managed services including platform hosting, network infrastructure, data centres, and business continuity. With a broad client base spanning small businesses, public sector organisations, and large enterprises, they have built a reputation for reliability and innovation in their field.

Due to sustained growth, they are expanding their sales team and are looking to appoint a dedicated Key Account Manager to maintain and develop key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong client relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for new services.
  • Regularly engage with clients to support ongoing service delivery and maintain account longevity.
  • Attend both virtual and in-person meetings, conferences, and industry events to represent the company.
  • Proactively manage customer requirements, collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver tailored IT solutions.
  • Maximise revenue potential by identifying and acting on new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Generate and follow up on quotations and proposals, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Create and manage IT roadmaps, guiding customers through their IT development and transformation journeys.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A motivated, experienced B2B sales professional with at least 5 years of experience in selling IT managed services.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging decision-makers across various levels.
  • Organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Keen interest in IT services, with the drive to learn and stay up to date with the latest technology trends.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude with a passion for customer service.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of IT managed services such as IT Support, Cloud, Backup, Security, Connectivity, and VoIP.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft licensing (Volume, SPLA, M365, Office 365) and Disaster Recovery technologies.
  • A good understanding of Cyber Security solutions and data protection regulations.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure Fundamentals, or similar are an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work remotely, attend on-site meetings, and accommodate occasional extended or unsocial hours.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to background checks as part of the client’s vetting process.
