Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sprinkler Designer to join our clients dynamic team in the fire protection industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing fire sprinkler systems and a passion for delivering high-quality customer service. This role involves creating detailed CAD designs, ensuring compliance with LPCB standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Layout: Design and layout sprinkler systems using specialised CAD software based on the Auto CAD platform.
  • Coordination: Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building components and perform hydraulic calculations.
  • Compliance: Interpret and apply applicable LPCB standards to ensure designs meet safety regulations, specifically adhering to the LPCB Sprinkler Rules (incorporating EN 12845).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the estimation department, design manager, and operations manager to review project requirements.
  • Field Checks: Conduct field checks of completed designs to verify accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with LPCB certification processes and standards is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proficient in Auto CAD, MS Office, and sprinkler design software. Strong understanding of LPCB standards and UK fire safety regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
