Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sprinkler Designer to join our clients dynamic team in the fire protection industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing fire sprinkler systems and a passion for delivering high-quality customer service. This role involves creating detailed CAD designs, ensuring compliance with LPCB standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design and Layout: Design and layout sprinkler systems using specialised CAD software based on the Auto CAD platform.
- Coordination: Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building components and perform hydraulic calculations.
- Compliance: Interpret and apply applicable LPCB standards to ensure designs meet safety regulations, specifically adhering to the LPCB Sprinkler Rules (incorporating EN 12845).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the estimation department, design manager, and operations manager to review project requirements.
- Field Checks: Conduct field checks of completed designs to verify accuracy.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
- Certifications: Familiarity with LPCB certification processes and standards is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in Auto CAD, MS Office, and sprinkler design software. Strong understanding of LPCB standards and UK fire safety regulations.
- Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
