Our client, a market leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Production Planner to join their team at their Sittingbourne foundry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to manage production schedules, ensure on-time delivery, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Targets: Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production and sales targets are met.
  • Customer Relations: Work with customers to resolve issues and maintain 100% on-time delivery performance.
  • Production Planning: Plan and adjust production schedules to meet sales targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with technical, quality, commercial, and production teams to address any issues.
  • Arrears Management: Proactively manage and reduce arrears risk.
  • Job Routing & Prioritisation: Manage job routing using Aventa and prioritise tasks through the Work to List system.
  • Capacity Planning: Support Capacity Capability Planning (CCP) and system development.
  • Sales Forecasting: Submit weekly sales forecasts to ensure effective resource planning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven production planning experience, ideally in manufacturing or aerospace.
  • Understanding of quality systems and operational best practices.
  • Experience in supporting and sustaining continuous improvement efforts.
  • Strong communicator with problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Able to collaborate across teams and manage customer and supplier relationships.
