About the Role
As a Production Scheduler, you will work closely with the Planning, Procurement, and Production Teams to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process. This role involves working across two sites in Sittingbourne, with the need to attend both locations as part of your weekly schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules based on plant capacity, labour availability, and product requirements.
- Translate forecasts into an optimised manufacturing plan.
- Maintain and update a 4-week rolling production plan.
- Communicate schedule updates to relevant departments.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Procurement teams to ensure cost-effective planning.
- Raise and manage work orders within the ERP system.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Team on material availability and lead times.
- Conduct regular meetings to monitor production schedules and address potential issues.
- Highlight risks and delays that may impact production and customer commitments.
About You
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience working with key stakeholders and chairing meetings.
- Knowledge of supply chain, production planning, and scheduling.
Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (due to travel between sites).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production scheduling.
- Experience with ERP systems and data management preferred.
Location
Sittingbourne, Kent - reliable commute or willingness to relocate required.
