About the role:
To work on the D S Smith Paper, Kemsley Mill contract on the general sorting and recycling operations of the contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure sorting and clear segregation of materials on site.
- Ensuring compliance with all company procedures.
- Keeping the site clean and tidy in accordance with a fixed schedule of duties.
- Ensure the operating equipment is done safely and competently.
- Litter picking duties around the site and buildings in accordance with the Managers and customer's instruction.
- Assisting with the general operation as required.
- Assist with the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all equipment within the waste yard.
- Ensure all staff are competent and manage the ability and progression of the team.
- You must remain aware at all times of your responsibilities for your own H&S and for the H&S of those directly responsible to you and your work colleagues.
- You must always ensure that the correct PPE is worn.
- You must adhere to all Company Policies & Procedures, including but not limited to, those specified in the Employee Handbook, H&S Policy, EMS System, IMS System and any financial systems.
- Preform audits with customer when required.
- Ensure all members of the team are wearing correct PPE, and have the equipment to perform the tasks.
- Coordinate members of team, ensuring all work is done in a timely fashion. Ensure all duties and work are carried out to a standard set by customer, with maximum efficiency.
