I am seeking a Trade Marketing Specialist with a passion for the food industry to join a Marketing department of a thriving organisation in Sittingbourne. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating, delivering, and measuring trade marketing plans, including the launch of new product developments (NPD) and existing product developments (EPD), covering both foodservice and retail channels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation which offers great benefits including hybrid working. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to build and implement account-specific plans to achieve growth, profitability, brand awareness, and market share.

  • Analyse marketing consumer and category insights to assess brand and customer performance and make business recommendations.

  • Launch branded NPD into relevant channels with compelling insights and clear KPIs.

  • Develop effective communication materials in line with brand messages and tone of voice.

  • Organise and attend trade shows, events, chef seminars, and product demonstrations.

  • Manage online and social media content for customer websites, ensuring brand consistency.

  • Work with agencies to deliver trade marketing initiatives successfully.

  • Track and evaluate campaign effectiveness, providing guidance for future plans.

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities through market and competitor analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing or business.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a trade marketing role, preferably within the food industry.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build business networks and relationships.

  • Proficient analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.

  • Team player with a willingness to assist colleagues across departments.

  • Knowledge of various marketing and trade marketing tools and techniques.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an eye for identifying brand growth opportunities.

  • Creative thinking to present alternative options.
