Hours: Full-time - You must be able to commit to the below hours:
Week 1 - 05:45 - 12:45 Monday to Friday and 07:00-12:30 Saturday
Week 2 - 11:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday
Week 3 - 05:45 - 13:45 Monday to Friday
Week 4 - 11:00 - 19:00 Monday - Friday
Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills?
Our client is seeking a Load Inspection Operative to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that all incoming loads are monitored, inspected, and documented correctly to maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and inspect incoming loads, ensuring they are tipped into the correct location.
- Identify and remove specific objects, such as refrigeration units and hazardous waste, following company procedures.
- Capture and upload photographs of loads for record-keeping.
- Reconcile delivered loads with driver paperwork and complete inspection sheets.
- Act as a banksman when required, guiding lorries onto the weighbridge and around the yard.
- Conduct quality control checks through regular sampling and maintain records.
Security & Health and Safety:
- Ensure no unauthorised entry to the site.
- Adhere to all site Health & Safety procedures and report any breaches.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Working Practices (SWPs).
- Report any incidents during your shift to the Health & Safety Manager.
Housekeeping & Reporting:
- Maintain a tidy and organised work environment, including the weighbridge and welfare areas.
- Complete shift handovers with the next Load Inspection Operative.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and personal development activities.
Person Specification:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload and react quickly to operational challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Multi-tasking capabilities with a proactive approach.
- Banksman experience is desirable (training provided).
- Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential (training provided).
