About the Role
As our Automation Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing state-of-the-art automation solutions that enhance our manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and drive operational excellence. You'll work with advanced technologies including SIMATIC PCS 7 systems, PLCs, and modern SCADA platforms while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement innovative automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain sophisticated control systems, including PLC programming and HMI design
- Lead the configuration and maintenance of SIMATIC PCS 7 systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct system validation activities and risk assessments
- Create comprehensive documentation for automated systems
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
- 5+ years of industrial automation experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Expert knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens S7)
- Proven experience with SIMATIC PCS 7 systems
- Strong background in SCADA systems and HMI development
- Deep understanding of industrial communication protocols
- Knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Siemens PCS 7 certification
- Experience with batch control systems and ISA-88 standards
- Knowledge of data historian systems and MES
- Background in Industry 4.0 and IIoT technologies
- Experience in aseptic manufacturing environments
